The painting shows two open windows leading to a room or courtyard with a circular couch whose center acts as a planter. Ferns and palms rise over the top of the couch cushions, and the whole centerpiece, couch and plants, imitates the shape of a fountain in a courtyard. A glass wall closes the courtyard at the back, reflecting round inset lighting from a ceiling not otherwise visible in the painting. The two open windows that frame the painting open towards us. We are looking in from outside the courtyard.

In the foreground a black, hexagonal jacuzzi is inset into a black tile floor that reflects light. Beside the empty jacuzzi is a tray with a towel, a bottle of beer, a bowl with a cherry, and a couple of pits and a box of cigarettes. From a position above and behind the jacuzzi, we can see the rest of the room. A bed has rumpled sheets and the blanket pulled partly to the floor. Vertical blinds behind the bed reveal a cityscape at night.

The wall forms a ledge above the sink with a glass on our left and a green bar of soap on our right. Above this ledge there are windows or mirrors that reflect a black and white tiled diagonal from the other side of the bathroom. A gold towel bar and maroon hand towel hangs next to the sink. When we zoom in, it's clear that the paint is applied roughly and thickly.

Grey concrete stairs spiral around the pole up through the painting and seem to continue out of the frame. The pole sits in a pink rounded floor. Behind the pole is a rounded stone room with large, leafy tropical plants growing behind the staircase. Light is coming in from somewhere above our left shoulder since there is a faint highlight on the right side of the stone wall.
